Welcome to Woodhouse Mountain Lodge on the Kourawhero Estate, your tranquil retreat in a paradise-like setting. High above the surrounding landscape, privacy is guaranteed, with views extending to the Hauraki Gulf. Nestled atop a valley on a large private estate within a native forest, portions of the grounds are designated as areas of 'Outstanding Natural Landscape'. Our well-appointed private villas are set amid lush gardens featuring exotic and mature native flora. Our lofty mountaintop vista offers space to breathe and unwind, whether relaxing on the veranda with a refreshing drink or seeking solitude and peace among the estate. The suites boast a wonderful sense of space with lofted ceilings, large windows, and an uncluttered style. Accommodations are spread across the property, ensuring maximum privacy. At the heart of Woodhouse Mountain Lodge is the main lodge, offering three dining areas, a comfortable guest lounge, a cozy library, and a lounge bar. A welcoming atmosphere is maintained year-round with four large open fireplaces and wide verandas. The lodge also features a sanarium, tennis courts, an outdoor swimming pool with a sun deck and hot tub, and a business center for those needing to stay connected.
